Memories crystal clear,
Striking with deadly precision.
Thoughts running through my head,
Affecting every decision.
Dreaming of a life,
Far in my past.
Wishing most days,
That it could have last.
It felt like the sun was setting,
And killing me slowly.
Who would have known,
I could feel so lonely.
Something to take away the pain,
To take away the regret.
But please not the memories,
I'm not ready to forget.
